The Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts

Myra Janco Daniels, Founder, President and CEO

After Myra helped raise funds to sustain the small orchestra on Marco Island, she determined that the orchestra needed a place to perform, just as much as Southwest Florida needed a cultural hub.

Amid the discouraging words of many around her, Myra stood her ground, and committed to the idea. She acquired a plot of real estate in Pelican Bay - a premier location in Naples, FL - where the hall would be built. Funds and donations came from everywhere, and The Phil raised its curtain just three short years after the idea was conceived.

Today, The Phil (renamed Artis Naples in Spring 2013) stands as a cultural icon in Southwest Florida, attracting world-renowned musicians and performers, employing hundreds, and remaining profitable since the day its curtain opened.
